Multiple Uses For Opaque Stretch Wrap

We sell opaque stretch wrap in both black and white colors. It is commonly used by our customers for concealment or color coding pallet orders. Opaque wrap works great for blocking UV rays, after approximately 2 wraps products are protected and concealed.

All of our opaque stretch film comes stock in an 80 gauge thickness. We offer hand opaque rolls in 15 and 18 inch widths. Machine rolls come in 20 inch widths and up to 80 inches wide for special orders. Special orders can be made for hand or machine rolls in most any sizes requested. We often get special order opaque stretch film orders for a variety of uses. We are going to discuss some of the different nontraditional uses for opaque stretch film that our customers use the film for.

Art

We have several customers that use our opaque stretch wrap and colored stretch film for a variety of art projects. With the opaque stretch film combined with the colored stretch film, artists have a wide variety of colors to choose from. Colors range from: black, white, orange, yellow, blue, and red. The ability to used the black and white film as an opaque backing and the other colors as transparent also helps artist to use the film for contrast in their designs.

Storefront Displays

We have seen this at large retail store chains like Wal-Mart, Kroger, and K-Mart. Retail chains often use opaque stretch film to help with the look of their display or to conceal their display before the order begins. They often use a black or white stretch film to wrap around the bottom or top of a display for a variety of sale items.

Printed Logos

This is actually a fairly common use of stretch film from our clients. Opaques stretch film makes a great backing for printing logos or messages on the film. Some people choose to use a clear wrap, but the opaque really helps to make the print “pop”. White is the most commonly used stretch film for printing logos, but black works great if there are no black lettering in your message. We sell a lot of printed stretch wrap to a variety of companies ranging from clean up restoration companies to warehouses shipping to retail stores. Orders for printed stretch wrap require a 1 pallet min. and commonly come with a 2-3 week lead time.

There are a variety of other uses our customers decide to use opaque film for. It is a versatile film that can be used for everything from heavy industrial applications to delicate artwork. Feel free to contact us at 1-800-441-5090 if you have any questions about opaque stretch film.

Printed Stretch Wrap & Shrink Wrap

We offer a variety of options for printed stretch wrap, stretch film to our clients. We often get inquiries from people wanting printed PVC or Polyolefin shrink wrap. There is nothing we would want more then to offer a printed heat shrink wrap to our clients. All of the printers that we have spoke with inform us that printing on the shrink wrap before heat is applied is not a problem. The problem is what the print will look like once the shrink wrap has had heat applied.

The shrink wrap we offer has up to a 40% shrink rate. Anything that is printed on the wrap prior to being shrunk will be distorted after heat is applied. We recommend companies to have stickers printed and then place them on the shrink wrap after heat is applied. This is a much more cost effective way of using shrink wrap for packaging yet still advertising with it.

One thing we do offer and sell a lot of, is printed stretch wrap. Printed stretch wrap can serve a variety of uses, but most commonly it is used for advertisement. We have had companies order printed stretch wrap to help detect tampered loads. If a pallet load is broke into and the thieves want to conceal the evidence of their crimes they can easily have a roll of clear stretch film on them and re-wrap the pallet after they have removed choice items. If you wrap your items with a printed stretch film it is hard for someone to duplicate.

We recommend companies to print on either a white or clear stretch film. They both offer the ability for the logo or print to stand out.  The clear stretch film is the cheaper option to print on, but the white stretch film really helps to allow logos to stand out.

We require a 1 pallet minimum for printed stretch film, payment is due up front after an initial mock up is prepared and a print contract is signed. Normally it is a 3-4 week lead time once payment is received. We would be happy to prepare a custom quote for your business.  Click on the contact us link or call us at 1-800-441-5090.
