We stock for immediate shipment, red, blue green, yellow, orange and white tinted hand film, extended core film and machine films.

We also stock black and white opaque stretch film.

What is the difference between opaque stretch film and tinted stretch film?

Opaque films do not allow light through the film. Since light cannot pass through the film this creates a natural U.V. (Ultra Violet) protection to wrapped products. Opaque stretch films also offer a bigger protection from theft! Opaque films protect shipments while they are in transit by not allowing “would be” thieves to see the contents of your palletized loads.

Pallet Wrap – Litewrapper Film Dispsenser

We have always offered a large selection of pallet wrap options for sale online. We believe in offering customers a large variety and options when it comes to choosing stretch film and bundling film. Stretch film dispensers are one area we are currently working to expand our product offerings. There are several dispensers on the market, they can all offer different advantages to users.

This post we are going to look at the Litewrapper pallet wrap dispenser. It is a great option for users who are concerned with stretch film costs as well as ease of film application. Below are some benefits and an instructional video using the Litewrapper stretch film dispenser.

Reduced Film Weight

The Litewrapper prestretch film rolls are lighter than traditional 80 gauge stretch film. Each individual roll weighs less and requires less strength to hold when applying. One main advantage to the rolls weighing less is reduction in shipping costs to the end user. Litewrapper refill rolls cost less to ship than most other stretch films.

Cost

Cost is always and issue with any business owner. Finding a film and dispenser with a low cost that secures and protect products during transportation is the main goal for most stretch film users. If the Litewrapper meets your requirements, the cost is very attractive to most business owners. Depending on the amount ordered each time, refill rolls are typically only about 60% of the cost of traditional stretch film.

Easy Application

The Litewrapper pallet dispenser uses specially designed stretch film rolls. These rolls are made from an 80 gauge stretch film that has been stretched up to 90% of its stretchability. The advantage to the film being stretched up to 90% is less exertion is needed when applying the film. This helps reduce worker fatigue and injury. With the lightwrapper dispenser, workers can wrap pallets with one hand.

We recommend the Litewrapper film for pallets up to 1200 lbs. with no sharp edges or corners. We have several customers that use the film for much heavier applications, but we recommend it for lighter pallet loads. We can custom make a heavier film for heavier applications with a 1 pallet minimum order.

Below is a video showing the ease of set up and use. If you have any other questions feel free to call us at 1-800-441-5090.

Eco Freindly Pallet Wrap

It’s always important for manufacturers to continue striving and perusing more Eco-friendly pallet wrap formulas. Stretch film pallet wrap is a petroleum based product that can be recycled. Currently the main focus for many manufacturers is to reduce the amount of petroleum used in the pallet wrap resin mixture. A stronger, thinner, stiffer film that uses less petroleum and reduces waste offers a great Eco-friendly option.

While focusing on a stronger more environmentally friendly film, performance is important as well. Many manufacturers, distributors, and retailers need a stretch wrap they can trust to safely secure their loads and reduce product loss. Our Hybrid pallet wrap is a great option to consider when looking for an Eco-friendly pallet wrap that performs well.

The hybrid film has a 47 gauge thickness, but offers more strength than a traditional 47 gauge film. It is great for pallet loads that do not have sharp corners or rough edges. It is an ideal film for load weights up to 1800 lbs. or more depending on transportation stress. Many furniture companies and other companies wrapping individual product have transitioned into using hybrid stretch film. It works great for wrapping and protecting individual objects.

Users notice since the hybrid wrap is thinner and stiffer, workers suffer less injuries and fatigue when wrapping loads. Less tension is needed when wrapping to reach maximum stretch and holding potentials. One of the best benefits of the hybrid wrap is the cost. It can often save companies hundreds of dollars per year. Sample rolls go out on Fridays. We would love to send you a sample to try out. Protect Books From Shipping & Storage Damage

Preserving Books for Shipping and Storage

For shipping or storing valuable or important books, preservation and damage protection are important. Many book owners and companies selling books of value feel it is important to preserve books from exterior elements. These elements can vary depending on the situation. We are going to look at some ideas for protection and preservation in shipping and storing books of value.

Shipping

When shipping books of value long distances or across town, choosing the proper container is a great starting point. We recommend a corrugated box slightly larger than the book or books being shipped. Many people prefer to ship in boxes that fit snuggly around the books corners. Boxes that fit snuggly around the book will eliminate the need for void-fill, therefore save in cost.  When concerned with packaging costs this is a great option; but if the box corners become damaged the book corners will more than likely be damaged as well. We recommend a slightly larger size of box for books of value. We suggest using void fill and cushioning coupled with slightly larger box to provide extra protection for books of value.

A standard 200 lb. corrugated box approximately 1-3 inches larger than the book on all sides is recommended. This allows room to wrap the book in a protective cushioning. A common recommended cushioning is bubble wrap or foam. Once the book is wrapped in the proper cushioning, a good void-fill is needed to prevent the book from shifting in the box during transport. One of the most well known void-fill products are packaging peanuts. Peanuts do not pack tight enough and can still allow shifting that can possibly damage book corners. We recommend white newsprint with no ink on it or Kraft paper. If you really want to provide great protection, indented Kraft paper is a little more expensive but provides extra cushioning. Be sure to pack plenty of void-fill in the box before sealing to prevent shifting.

Storage

When storing books of value, the exterior elements differ from shipping. Common exterior elements to consider when storing are moisture, dust, and light. We recommend a heat shrink wrap film to protect from moisture and dust. Shrink films are affordable, easy to use, and do a great job in protecting from moisture and dust.

When protection from light is a concern there are several options to consider. Boxes are an easy and affordable way to reduce light intrusion after being shrink wrapped for storage. Another option that some of our clients use to reduce light intrusion is opaque stretch film. This is a plastic stretch wrap (commonly white or black) that cannot be seen through and protects from UV rays after two complete wraps.

There are several methods and products to protect books of value. The main issues that need to be considered when trying to preserve valuable books begin with exterior elements. If you can protect the books from those elements they will last longer and offer the ability to be enjoyed for years to come.
